Forward head posture is when your head is positioned in front of your shoulders, or in front of neutral alignment. In neutral, your neck muscles work minimally to keep your head upright, every inch forward your head is, or every degree your head is tilted downwards significantly increases the effective weight of your head. This causes your neck muscles to work extra hard leading to tightness and compression.
